Isaac and I love celebrating—and we specifically love celebrating our love. When we got married, we worked with a good friend and videographer, Orion Pahl, to create an epic video showcasing our life and intentions for our life together to be played during our reception.

I believe that celebrating sometimes requires intentionality, especially in our busy day-to-day lives. So we had the idea to document our love story every year after our wedding to give both ourselves and others a glimpse into who we are at this current moment.

I love these intentional moments of celebration with Isaac. We live on purpose and it’s really fun to share what that looks like year after year. I remember how the first anniversary video and shoot was epic and beautiful, yet somber and soft—it was a hard year for me, so we documented part of that. I see this yearly project as real life journal entries, allowing us to look back and see how far we’ve come while also honoring all that has been.

Here are some photos from our five year anniversary shoot this past November! We shot on-location in Laguna Beach, California, where we live. It was so special to nod to this new season in southern California. We’ve worked with Orion every anniversary since our wedding, and this past year was our third time working with our friends Megan and Nate Kantor from Cedar & Pines Photography.
